The Blanket
I thank you for your patience while I have not been on top of my game recently. I found this piece in my archives, and thought that I should give you something to read. If you can listen to it, I just hope that it's not a man saying it.
Liz opens the gate, and I follow her into the large backyard. All along the fence and the adjacent wall are beautiful wildflowers. The delightful smells assail my senses. I inhale deeply, hoping that this carefree feeling will stay with me all day.
In the far corner of the yard hangs a large, soft-looking blanket on a clothesline. I watch Liz as she takes it down and how it almost flows onto the grass. She lies down, and squinting into the sun, stretches her arm up to mine. We join fingers, and we both laugh as she pulls me down gently onto the blanket.
I caress her face – so soft and inviting.
Holding hands, our eyes meet, and then, our lips meet. I think about the carefree feeling that I had earlier, and how lucky I am right now!

Glad to see you back?
This is so lovely ❤️✨️🦋
